The Kindfulness Curriculum teaches students how to take care of themselves and their communities, and their environments. It cultivates lifelong social-emotional learning (SEL) through research and evidence-based techniques. All lessons align to learning standards for mindfulness, CASEL’s socio-emotional learning competencies, and the Common Core ELA.
Students develop self skills in Unit 1, then apply those abilities to social contexts in Unit 2. For example, students practice awareness of themselves in the first unit, and awareness of other people in the second unit.
Throughout the curriculum, the Me Time daily routine supports the development of SEL skills.
